Our Purpose
The Florida Provisional Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church exists to create a vital connection of churches by shepherding, connecting, and equipping local congregations to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
- Shepherding churches and leaders include providing grace-filled accountability and support to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
- Connecting includes uniting churches and leaders with life-giving relationships to facilitate collaborative, externally focused ministry.
- Equipping churches and leaders includes increasing vitality and effectiveness to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Global Methodist Church Catechism
Knowing what we believe and why is critical to developing deeply discipled Christians. The Leadership of the Florida conference is excited to announce
1 The Global Methodist Church has adopted a catechism – a faith and learning tool for initiation into the full life of the church and a formal expression of the essential teachings that the church expects its members to understand and believe. This is a great tool for confirmation, new members classes, small groups, and Sunday School classes. It can also be purchased through Seedbed Publishing (seedbed.com)
2 Jason Vickers is now at a new seminary.
3 Instead of being a professor at Asbury, he’s now the William J. Abraham Chair of Wesley Studies at Truett Theological Seminary.
